We sent a local mom to check out the show and asked her a few questions about her experience and what her family thought of the show. The roper mountain science center has laser shows in their planetarium just for the holidays. Roper mountain exists because of a unique partnership of public ownership, corporate sponsorship, private support, and volunteers.

December 11, 2015 roper the ogre part of the lore of roper mountain’s winter wonderland a visit fred baus and his grandsons made to the roper mountain holiday lights inspired a children’s book, “oh, those holiday lights!” this year, roper the ogre, the star of the book, will make weekend appearances in roper mountain’s winter wonderland. This display is on private property behind a security gate, and access to the property is not part of the holiday light display.
